Elliott Bros. Pty. Ltd. remains one of the oldest family businesses in Tasmania, its origins dating back approximately 130 years.
Originally established as a transport firm utilising horse and dray, the company has progressed through time, from general freight forwarders into the specialised area of heavy haulage and mobile crane hire.
Elliott Bros. Pty. Ltd. began its mobile crane operations around 1954 with basic "stiff leg" lattice boom units mounted on conventional trucks. Today we operate a fleet of modern hydraulic mobile cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 5 tonne to 60 tonne.
On the heavy haulage side, the Company has a range of specialty transport trailers including steerable dollies and "crab steer" equipment. We have the ability and the expertise to either re-locate or transport almost anything, from a box of matches to a complete house.
Elliott Bros. Pty. Ltd. head office and main depot is in historic Battery Point within five minutes walk from the centre of the CBD, up the road from Salamanca Place. Located at the same address is our service and maintenance workshop. We have a second storage and testing facility at South Hobart, less than 10 kms from the city centre.
Elliott Bros. Pty. Ltd. have personnel available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to respond to your needs. Clients can have their requirements catered for, at any time of the day or night, weekends and public holidays.
